Job Description

Position Overview
Insight Global is looking for an Executive Director of Financial Services is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of all fiscal management functions for a community college. This role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, accounting operations, and audit preparation. The Executive Director ensures financial compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining accurate financial records and managing all functions within the Financial Services department.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct all fiscal and financial reporting, budget preparation, and accounting functions for the College.
• Maintain complete and accurate financial records for internal and audit purposes.
• Oversee accounting and reporting for all college expenditures and receivables.
• Coordinate and complete year‑end audits and prepare financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
• Supervise all Financial Services operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
• Plan and schedule departmental workflow to ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
• Direct year‑end close‑out procedures and issue periodic financial, operational, and statistical reports.
• Ensure all receipts are recorded in the appropriate funds.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate employees within the Financial Services department.
• Manage performance, provide feedback, and resolve personnel or operational issues in accordance with organizational policies.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least five (5) years of experience in accounting.
At least three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in accounting.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in Business Administration.
• CPA certification.
• Five (5) years of supervisory experience in accounting.
Five (5) years of experience in governmental accounting.
