Job Description Summary
The Field Progress Validation Specialist supports schedule controls and construction management teams by independently verifying, assessing, and clearly communicating the status of field progress on active capital construction projects. This role works closely with project controls, CM teams, and contractors to reconcile claimed and in progress work against the integrated project schedule, with particular emphasis on critical and near critical activities. This individual plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of schedule progress data used for bi weekly schedule updates, reporting, and stakeholder presentations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Resource is expected to be onsite at the “Bio NC jobsite” in Wilson, NC full-time
• Resource is expected to be either be versed in, or eager to learn and operate in, the established J&J scheduling cloud platform (Oracle Primavera Cloud – OPC) to promptly be able to…
o Support J&J’s schedule controls and CM teams with field verification and reconciliation of claimed complete and/or in-progress field work
o Support J&J’s schedule controls and CM teams with field assessment of progress of critical and near-critical activities as shown in the integrated schedule
o Support J&J’s schedule controls and CM teams with active verification of schedule progress data pertinent to bi-weekly schedule updates
o Support J&J’s schedule controls and CM teams with presentation requirements and materials to ensure all key project stakeholders are clearly informed on schedule progress and/or risks
• Resource must be eager to quickly learn and engage in this fast-tracked, multi-faceted and challenging program
• Resource must possess strong collaboration, communication and messaging skills
• Resource must have a proven record of excelling in large team environments
• 1st Measure of success will be the J&J’s schedule controls and CM teams’ on time, verification and compliance check of the Contractor’s biweekly issuance of completed schedule updates and reports
• 2nd Measure of success will be feedback from key project stakeholders that schedule progress information is readily available and reliable for decision-making

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, architecture, or a related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in construction project controls related roles.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Solid understanding of field construction activities and physical progress tracking
• Ability to analyze and validate contractor reported progress against observed field conditions and schedule data
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies, risks, or inconsistencies in progress reporting
• Effective verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain schedule status and issues to diverse stakeholders
• Strong collaboration skills and a proven ability to work effectively within large, cross functional project teams
• Adaptability and eagerness to engage in fast tracked, complex, and evolving program environments
• Professional judgment and confidence to raise concerns, ask questions, and support fact based decision making
