Job Description

Our pharmaceutical client is seeking a skilled and experienced Cell Culture Scientist to join our dynamic research and development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cell culture process development and a proven ability to operate bioreactors, both single-use and glass, ranging from lab to pilot scale (250 mL to 50 L). The Cell Culture Scientist will play a critical role in developing and optimizing cell culture processes to support our innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize cell culture processes for various cell lines, including mammalian and microbial systems.
• Operate and maintain bioreactors (single-use and glass) at lab and pilot scales (250 mL to 50 L).
• Design and execute experiments to improve cell culture performance and yield.
• Monitor cell culture conditions, including pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, and nutrient levels.
• Analyze data and interpret results to guide process development and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including upstream and downstream process development, analytical, and manufacturing teams.
• Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and presentations to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cell culture and bioreactor operation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Proven experience in cell culture or fermentation
• Strong knowledge of cell culture techniques, media preparation, and aseptic handling.
• Proficiency in operating bioreactors at lab and/or pilot scales (250 mL to 50 L).
