JGA Aerospace is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support aerospace programs focused on rocket motor and nozzle components. This individual contributor role is responsible for converting customer blueprints into CAD models and producing a dimensioned print.
The Manufacturing Engineer will act as the technical bridge between design and production, owning drawings, process planning and strong proficiency in GD&T tolerancing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Convert 2D engineering blueprints into accurate CAD models
- Create fully dimensioned manufacturing drawings from CAD models
- Apply and generate GD&T tolerances per ASME standards
Map dimensions and tolerance stack-ups to ensure manufacturability
- Release build-ready prints to production teams
- Develop process plans, travelers, and work instructions
- Create and formalize SOPs where limited documentation exists
- Define manufacturing sequences, inspection steps, and checkpoints
- Support multiple active programs in a high-mix environment
- Collaborate closely with design, quality, and production teams

Required Skills & Experience
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3 to 7 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a high-volume production environment (automotive, semiconductor, or aerospace)
- Strong proficiency generating tolerances on manufacturing prints
- Advanced working knowledge of GD&T
- SolidWorks experience for 3D modeling and drawing creation
AutoCAD experience for 2D drawing work
- Proven ability to convert models into fully dimensioned prints
- Experience supporting production through released documentation
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- Automotive or high-volume industrial manufacturing background
- Tooling, tool design, or fixture design experience
- Experience creating SOP's and travelers from scratch
