Role Overview
We are seeking a Network Business Analyst with 3+ years of relevant analysis experience. This role focuses on analyzing, documenting, and improving network related processes and facilitating specialty network projects that support connectivity, onboarding devices to networks, and ensuring reliable access for faculty, staff, students, and campus systems.
The ideal candidate bridges the gap between technical network teams and business stakeholders, helping translate requirements into scalable, secure, and user friendly network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a liaison between network engineering teams and campus stakeholders to gather and document network related requirements
• Analyze end user network connectivity needs, including wired, wireless, and device onboarding use cases
• Support processes for adding and managing devices on networks, including user devices, IoT, and academic or administrative systems
• Document current state and future state network workflows, including access, authentication, and provisioning processes
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or recurring issues related to network connectivity and user experience
• Partner with IT operations, security, and support teams to ensure network solutions meet functional, performance, and compliance requirements
• Assist with testing, validation, and rollout of network changes or improvements
• Develop clear documentation such as business requirements, process flows, use cases, and impact assessments
• Support reporting and analysis related to network usage, connectivity trends, and service issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network reliability, scalability, and end user experience

Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting networking or IT infrastructure initiatives
• Strong understanding of end user network environments, including wired and wireless connectivity
• Experience supporting or documenting processes for device onboarding and network access
• Ability to translate technical network concepts into clear business requirements
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills
• Experience working cross functionally with technical and non technical stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting higher education institutions or large, distributed user populations
• Familiarity with network access concepts such as authentication, segmentation, and security controls
• Experience working with service management or ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow or similar)
• Understanding campus network challenges, including classrooms, labs, residence halls, and remote users
• Experience supporting network modernization or improvement initiatives
