Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a remote IT Purchasing Manager to support one of our hardwood manufacturing clients. The IT Purchasing Manager will own day to day IT purchasing and a highly manual accounts payable (AP) process that currently runs through a combination of a shared mailbox, vendor portals, and a large tracking spreadsheet. This person will be responsible for matching transactions, coding invoices, preparing approval-ready summaries, and ensuring accurate tracking from asset request, purchase/payment, lifecycle management, replacement. The role will also help organize and improve a custom process for recurring vendor bills (e.g., internet/telecom), credit card expenses, and monthly reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage the end-to-end purchasing workflow for IT goods and services, including software subscriptions (e.g., Adobe) and hardware purchases.
• Receive invoices and billing statements via mailbox and vendor portals, organize supporting documentation, and maintain a centralized tracking log.
• Perform manual matching of invoices to purchases/requests and validate transaction accuracy across multiple sources.
• Collect and validate vendor bills, receipts, and backup for credit card transactions and IT-related operating expenses.
• Support accounts payable processing and account reconciliation, ensuring records align to monthly statements and internal tracking.
• Maintain asset records and status (request, purchase, assigned, in-use, replaced/retired), supporting basic asset lifecycle tracking

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-4 years of IT purchasing experience
• Experience working in manual workflows
• Asset Tracking and lifecycle management experience
• Microsoft office experience
