Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Assistant Dean of Nursing Education for a higher education client within the community college space. This leader will serve as the first-line administrator for nursing programs, overseeing academic quality, accreditation, faculty performance, and operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of clinical expertise, academic leadership, and accreditation experience, and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on student success, workforce development, and continuous program improvement

Day-to-Day
• Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing program goals
• Ensure curriculum quality, innovation, and compliance with state and national standards
• Oversee accreditation efforts, including self-studies, site visits, reporting, and outcomes
• Supervise and support full-time, part-time, and adjunct nursing faculty and program directors
• Manage faculty recruitment, onboarding, evaluations, and professional development
• Oversee budgets, contracts, equipment, and program resources
• Teach 3–5 contact hours per semester as needed
• Monitor instructional quality across classroom, clinical, and off-campus settings
• Collaborate with the Dean on strategic initiatives and new program development
• Represent the college with advisory committees, healthcare partners, and community stakeholders
• Support student recruitment, admissions, issue resolution, and graduate placement efforts

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves
• Current, unrestricted North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Master’s degree in Nursing
• 5+ years clinical nursing practice as an RN
• 5+ years full-time teaching experience in higher education
• 3+ years academic leadership experience (Director, Chair, Assistant Dean, or similar)
• Direct experience with NLN and/or ACEN accreditation
Strong background in curriculum development and program review

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses
• Experience leading NCLEX outcomes and improvement plans
• Prior work in community college or public higher education
• Grant writing or external funding experience
• Established relationships with healthcare systems or clinical partners
Experience supervising multiple nursing programs or directors
