Job Description

Day-to-Day:
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings to align on priorities and address questions
• Monitor active projects and jobs using Excel, Power BI, and internal databases
• Create and maintain AutoCAD and ECAD drawings, electrical diagrams, and schematics
• Design controller layouts and electrical systems for escalator and moving walkway projects
• Support special engineering solutions and custom project requirements
• Collaborate with senior engineers for technical guidance and project execution
• Develop and release new jobs for production
• Respond to production floor questions regarding units, drawings, and specifications
• Print and distribute engineering documents and schematics as needed
• Release work orders through SAP and coordinate with production supervisors
• Continuously support ongoing projects through completion
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Applications Engineer for a leading manufacturing client within the escalator and moving walkway industry. This individual will join a collaborative engineering team consisting of senior engineers and controls specialists supporting the design, development, and production of transportation systems. The engineer will be responsible for creating electrical schematics and engineering drawings, monitoring active projects, developing production-ready designs, and supporting manufacturing operations through project completion. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, adaptable engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, welcomes feedback, and is eager to learn from experienced mentors while building expertise in electrical design, controls, and industrial manufacturing solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves:
• 1-3 years of engineering experience (internship experience considered)
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Power BI
• AutoCAD experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Knowledge of electrical system design and analysis
• Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Experience partnering with operations/production teams
• Exposure to escalators, elevators, or similar industrial/manufacturing environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with electrical control panels
• Industrial controls experience
• Factory electrical environment experience
