Job Description

A client in the Charlotte, NC area is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to primarily support front desk operations including patient check-in, scheduling, and customer service. The candidate will also be cross-trained to assist with back-office duties such as hearing tests, flu/covid/strep testing, A1C checks, and emergency response (e.g., chest pain, panic attacks). The clinic sees 20–30 patients per day, and documentation is done in EPIC and OHM. The ideal candidate is professional, punctual, and confident in both administrative and clinical settings.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting as a patent service coordinator or medical assistant
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Front desk experience (check-in, scheduling, registration, patient flow)
• Strong customer service skills and ability to de-escalate tense situations
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-security environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Occupational Health experience
• Experience working independently
• Familiarity with EPIC and OHM
• Prior experience in airport or high-volume clinic settings
• Ability to multitask and pivot between front and back office duties
