Mid-level - API Developer
We are seeking a seasoned an API Developer to assist with the design and delivery of secure, scalable APIs. This role will drive API strategy, mentor developers, and partner closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams to enable seamless system integration across the organization.
Responsibilities
API design, development, and deployment using API first best practices
Define API standards and specifications with cross functional teams
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance
Ensure API security, scalability, performance, and reliability
Optimize and troubleshoot complex API integrations
Document API designs and usage standards

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
3-7+ years in a technical leadership role with strong API development experience
Expertise in REST, GraphQL, Node.js, and TypeScript
Experience with API platforms (Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway)
Strong understanding of API security best practices
Cloud and DevOps experience (AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, GitLab) preferred
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
