Job Description

Product Testing – Oversight of all product testing throughout the entire product life cycle, ranging from initial prototype and specification performance to rigorous reliability, mechanical and environmental testing. Review proposed designs, test prototypes and communicate results to Design Engineering. Coordinate field test samples. Catalyze product design adjustments and improvements from bench and field test results, or other experiences. Direct internal and external mechanical engineering regarding product development and improvement.

Manufacturing/Assembly – Assist in the definition, documentation, implementation, and support of all process steps and fixturing.

Engineering - Define and support Document Control. Develop/define product specifications. Define, coordinate, and participate in product testing for Arcom, customers, and various governing bodies.

Required Skills & Experience

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related technical field.
Prior experience working within broadband networks, RF (Radio Frequency), or other electronics-focused industries.
Hands-on experience utilizing electronic testing equipment and RF measurement tools.
Strong ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair analog RF and digital circuit issues down to the component level.
Working knowledge of quality control methodologies and best practices.
Experience supporting products throughout the full product lifecycle, including development, testing, manufacturing, and ongoing product support.
Proven experience with manufacturing, product validation, and continuous improvement processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line environments.
Knowledge of networking concepts and infrastructure.
Experience with one or more programming paradigms and software development concepts.
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and product teams

Product Development – Review proposed designs, test prototypes and communicate results to

improvements from bench and field test results, or other experiences. Direct internal and external
contract mechanical engineering regarding product development and improvement.
Manufacturing/Assembly - Define, document, implement, and support all process steps and
fixturing.
Engineering - Define and support Document Control. Develop/define product
specifications. Define, coordinate, and participate in product testing for Arcom, customers, and
various governing bodies.
Product Repair - Staff and oversee in-house component level product repair. Define and support
contract repair facilities.
Personnel development and leadership. Occasional customer and sales support travel. Remain
flexible to accept other projects and challenges as they arise.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Internal and External Customer Support – Train Sales Engineering and customers, and support
training efforts on correct operation. Develop user manuals. Participate virtually in customer
Touchpoint meetings and support both customer and Sales Engineering challenges. Work with
Design Engineering to develop improvements to support customer needs. Support Sales
Engineering with system and device troubleshooting.
