Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Top Secret System Admin to sit onsite in Niskayuna, NY or West Mifflin, PA. They will be required to provide hands-on system administration and technical support by assisting engineers with hardware and software troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades. Perform hardware component replacements using provided parts and materials, and support software and operating system issue diagnosis under engineer guidance. Administer and maintain user accounts and system access through Active Directory, including account creation, modification, group management, password resets, and basic policy enforcement. Support endpoint and server environments by implementing approved fixes, applying antivirus updates, and assisting with operating system patching and debugging in accordance with established maintenance schedules and approvals.
Assist with procurement activities by helping purchase new equipment through internal processes, documenting system assessments, and supporting required audits. Contribute to system documentation, continuous monitoring activities, and RMF-related efforts. Serve as a general technical resource by supporting system design questions, evaluating upgrade needs, consulting on new technology implementations, and resolving day‑to‑day system and access issues as they arise. Perform additional duties as assigned by the customer.
$30/hr to $40/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• Active DOD Top Secret, will be in-processed for a DOE-Q Clearance (no, this does not affect the DOD clearance)
• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• 2-3 years of Windows system support or administration professional experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft applications on the system (Active Directory, etc)
