Job Description
We are looking for a MuleSoft Lead Architect to work for a leader in the consulting industry.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Governance & control: run cadences (standups/checkpoints/SteerCo), maintain RAID (Risks/Assumptions/Issues/Dependencies) + decision/action logs, enforce entry/exit criteria
- Program planning & integration: build integrated plans, manage dependencies, critical path, resourcing, milestones
- Communication: crisp exec updates, status, meeting facilitation, documentation quality
- Basic domain fluency: enough understanding of the domain (e.g., DevOps/SRE, app support, SDLC) to ask good questions and spot gaps without being the technical owner
- Tools & data literacy: comfort with planning tools (e.g., Jira/ADO/MS Project), dashboards/metrics, and disciplined artifact management
- Vendor management: contract adherence, NDA, third-party coordination
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Define and enforce platform governance standards, including API design guidelines, deployment patterns, and operational best practices.
- Implement and maintain security controls such as RBAC, secrets management, network policies, and encryption standards.
- Conduct regular audits of clusters, environments, and access controls to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Partner with InfoSec to evaluate vulnerabilities, apply patches, and maintain a hardened platform posture.
DevOps, Automation & Tooling
- Modernize CI/CD pipelines and toolchains to improve delivery speed, standardization, and quality across integration teams.
- Build and maintain self‑service tools that empower developers to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot their applications independently.
- Drive automation across provisioning, deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
- Integrate MuleSoft with enterprise observability platforms (e.g., logging, metrics, distributed tracing).
Cost Optimization & Operational Excellence
- Monitor platform usage, resource consumption, and cluster efficiency to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Optimize worker sizing, autoscaling policies, and environment utilization.
- Provide forecasting and budgeting insights for platform growth and capacity planning.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a MuleSoft Developer / Architect
- Engaging with the teams coming in with the requests. Assistance to build out applications
- Engaging with external teams and understanding demands, solution architect type work, decompose that into the work that needs to be done
- Stories are organized on scrum board- working with scrum master to deliver
- Other 50% get their hands dirty and jump into production and point developers into right direction
- Build up proof of concept and build out for client
- Experience building MuleSoft applications
- Experience defining the solution and decompose the work
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• MuleSoft certified platform architect
• AWS certified solutions architect
• JavaScript / Spring boot (not as much)
