Job Description
• Support commissioning and launch activities for engine block manufacturing equipment and production lines
• Manage machine compliance activities through Red, Yellow, and Green approval stages prior to production startup
• Coordinate safety reviews and obtain approvals from Safety and Ergonomics teams
• Review, maintain, and organize machine documentation to ensure compliance with company standards
• Partner with contractors, OEM machine manufacturers, and internal engineering teams to resolve issues and keep projects on schedule
• Track machine readiness and support the progression of equipment through commissioning milestones
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders to address safety concerns, compliance requirements, and installation issues
• Assist with machine startup activities and validation testing to ensure equipment is production-ready
• Support PPAP and production readiness processes by gathering, analyzing, and documenting machine performance data
• Help execute machine capability testing, quality validation, and production trial runs
• Work with OEM suppliers to identify required machine adjustments and ensure performance expectations are met
• Collect and organize testing data to demonstrate machine capability, throughput, and quality results
• Prepare documentation and presentations for leadership to verify equipment readiness for production
• Support multiple manufacturing lines simultaneously while balancing project timelines and deliverables
• Identify and escalate risks that could impact launch schedules or equipment performance
• Continuously improve knowledge of manufacturing processes, commissioning activities, and engine block production systems
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers to support production launch activities and overall program success
• Drive projects forward through proactive problem-solving, stakeholder coordination, and execution of critical launch activities
$40/hr to $52/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience supporting engine block, cylinder head, powertrain, or high-volume machining manufacturing operations
• Hands-on experience with block machining equipment, CNC machining centers, transfer lines, or automated manufacturing systems
• Knowledge of engine block manufacturing processes, including machining, tooling, dimensional validation, quality inspections, and production readiness requirements
• Experience supporting equipment commissioning, machine validation, runoff testing, and startup activities within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with PPAP, capability studies, process validation, machine buyoffs, or production launch activities
