Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Site Operations Leader to oversee environmental and geological operations at a remote remediation site in Gallup, New Mexico. This role requires a highly capable, hands-on leader with deep technical knowledge, strong operational discipline, and the ability to manage complex regulatory and stakeholder environments. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, proactive, and comfortable wearing multiple hats while leading field teams, managing budgets, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients and regulators.

Required Skills & Experience

Geology:
Familiarity with water sampling protocols
Familiarity with plume delineation
Familiarity with water management issues in the southwest
Familiarity with waste management (IDW)

Project Management / Operations Lead:
Able to lead a team of field personnel in maintaining a remote site
Set starter who can identify priorities, track them to completion, and maintain communications with client on schedules
Able to maintain a budget for a multi-year ongoing project, including regular reporting on project financials
Need to be self sufficient for basic repairs and maintance
Can run a backhoe

Regulatory:
Familiarity with the CERCLA framework
Familiarity with EPA and NRC processes for investigation and release from liability
Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders (EPA, NRC, Navajo Nation, State of New Mexico)
