Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to lead data remediation initiatives within the Market Risk technology organization. This individual will independently drive delivery across a portfolio of data-focused projects, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance of data used to support market risk calculations.


Key Responsibilities:
• Own end-to-end delivery for data remediation initiatives, managing multiple concurrent efforts (DART tickets) from intake through closure
• Break down complex data projects into detailed, actionable plans, including sourcing, mapping, transformation, and testing of data
• Partner with engineering, QA, BA teams, and upstream data providers to resolve gaps and ensure accurate data flow across systems
• Manage and track work through DART (Data Assessment Resolution Tool), overseeing active tickets of varying size and priority
• Coordinate with business stakeholders to prioritize work, secure funding, and align on delivery timelines
• Ensure testing, validation, lineage tracking, and audit/compliance documentation are completed for all data changes
• Demonstrate how data changes propagate through systems, including validation of expected vs. actual outputs
• Identify and address data gaps, inconsistencies, and reporting issues impacting market risk calculations
Operate in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift based on business needs and regulatory requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–10+ years of Project Management experience within technology environments (must be hands-on, delivery-focused)
• Strong experience working on data-centric or data remediation projects
• Strong understanding of data governance and controls supporting market risk data (what data is used, created, and governed)
• Background in financial services with exposure to Market Risk or Risk Technology
• Strong understanding of:
○ Data flows, lineage, and transformation logic
○ Market risk fundamentals (e.g., Value at Risk (VaR), market vs. credit risk)
• Able to decompose complex data initiatives into granular, step-by-step project plans
• Ensures clear validation of data changes, including demonstrating how data is impacted (or not) through end-to-end flows
• Experience coordinating across cross-functional technical teams and business stakeholders
• Familiarity with testing processes, data validation, and audit/compliance requirements

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Ability to query and analyze data (SQL)
