Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a secret cleared systems engineer to join a growing team onsite in Marlton, New Jersey. This person will be traveling approximately 50% of the time to customer locations. This engineer will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments across enterprise infrastructure. This person will also be responsible for managing virtual machines in Hyper-V, and troubleshooting networking issues (TCP/IP, DNS, routing).
The role involves developing PowerShell and Bash scripts for automation, performing system testing and troubleshooting, maintaining technical documentation, and executing patching and configuration updates. The candidate will also support vulnerability remediation and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deliver infrastructure solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
- Active Secret Clearance
- 2+ years of systems engineering experience and a bachelors degree in engineering or a related field
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration
- Hands-on RHEL command line experience
- Experience with virtualization
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Ability to troubleshoot system performance and logs
- Experience with patching, upgrades, and system hardening
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Team-oriented with ability to interface with end users
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with DISA STIG / security compliance frameworks
- Experience with Helm and microservices architectures
- Background in fast-paced or growth environments
- Experience with technical documentation processes
- Exposure to AI tools in IT operations or automation
