Job Description
Insight Global is looking to add 2 Platform Engineers to their clients team located in the St. louis, MO area. In this role, you’ll partner closely with engineering teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance across enterprise applications. You’ll define and implement SLOs/SLIs and service health metrics while strengthening observability through monitoring, dashboards, and alerting. A key part of your day will involve leading and participating in incident response, conducting root cause analysis, and driving follow-through improvements. You’ll build and maintain automation and tooling to reduce manual effort, review architectures for resilience and recovery, and support Kubernetes and Azure-based environments. Additionally, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with platform, security, and engineering teams to drive continuous reliability improvements based on incident learnings and operational insights. This role will require you to be onsite 100% of the time.

Required Skills & Experience
7+ years in SRE, DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering
Strong experience in Azure environments
Hands-on with Kubernetes / AKS
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Strong automation/scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
Observability tools: Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Azure-specific tools: AKS, Azure Monitor, App Insights, Key Vault, ACR
Experience with GitHub Enterprise workflows (branching, code reviews, automation)
Knowledge of security best practices (identity, access, secrets management)
Exposure to resilience testing, chaos engineering, or FinOps
Experience leveraging AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Codex) for automation & efficiency
