Job Description
Insight Global is looking to add a Senior QA Tester to our client's team in the St. Louis, MO area. This QA manual tester supports data engineering work, supporting about 15 Engineers and will be the sole tester for the team. They will validate that data moving through pipelines (including the AWS migration) lands correctly by testing database tables, running SQL queries, and confirming transformations, accuracy, and completeness. They write and execute manual test cases for sanity, regression, UAT, and operational readiness, working end‑to‑end from requirements through validation, and may use light scripting to automate repeatable data checks. Strong communication skills are needed as they will be expected to be part of some requirement gathering through testing then hand off to development. This role is 4 days on site and 1 remote.

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of QA manual testing
Experience with sanity, regression, UAT, and operational readiness testing
Experience writing simple SQL queries
Experience supporting Data Engineers and testing queries and tables
Familiar with AWS ecosystem
Great communication skills and comfortable speaking to upper level management on test validations
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Shell scripting experience
Automation testing experience
Experience with Apache Hive
