Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Staff or Senior Structural Designer to support large-scale Gas & Heavy Industrial (GHI) and power generation projects across the United States. This role will serve as a project-level lead designer, responsible for hands-on 3D structural modeling as well as coordination, quality control, and technical oversight of domestic and international design resources. The ideal candidate brings strong 3D structural design experience, a deep understanding of industrial structures, and the ability to work effectively in a BIM-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
3D Modeling & Design
• Develop detailed 3D structural models including:
○ Equipment foundations
○ Pipe racks
○ Industrial buildings
○ Structural steel framing
• Create 2D deliverables from 3D models, including:
○ Structural plans, sections, and elevations
Foundation and rebar drawings
○ Steel framing and connection details
Quality Control & BIM Oversight
• Perform comprehensive QA/QC reviews of models and drawings
• Ensure models comply with internal standards and project specifications
• Run and review model reports (attributes, structure names, design areas, construction work areas, etc.)
• Verify BIM data integrity and consistency across deliverables
Project Types

Pipe rack systems and heavy foundations

Required Skills & Experience
4 years of experience within structural design
Strong experience within the gas/heavy industrial space
3D drafting design software experience in either Tekla, AutoCAD or Revit
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Tekla experience huge plus
• BIM or VDC background
Working experience in GHI industry (gas, heavy industrial)
