Job Description
The Assistant Electrical Drafter supports the production of engineering drawings and deliverables for utility and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills who values accuracy, organization, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Produce plans, profiles, and construction details from markups, sketches, and verbal direction
- Support overhead (OH) and underground (UG) utility design drawings
- Assist with preparation and revisions of drawing packages for permitting and submittals
- Maintain organized, standards-compliant CAD files and project documentation
- Ensure drawings meet company and client drafting standards
- Support QA/QC efforts by implementing revisions and improving accuracy
- Coordinate with engineers and project teams on updates, priorities, and deliverables
- Deliver work on schedule while maintaining quality expectations
- Continue building knowledge of utility design practices, CAD tools, and internal workflows

Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Drafter
○ Applicable industries: Utilities, Telecom, GIS, Transmission, Distribution, Power Distribution, Power Generation or Oil and Gas
- Strong experience with AutoCAD
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Civil3D
- Experience with overhead and underground profiles OR permitting
