Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Database Developer to work on a hybrid schedule for one of our client's in the Kansas City area. This is a net new position they are adding to the team to help them with the enhancements, maintenance, and development of their internal business applications. This person will work on a team of 3 other people in which they are more on the administrative side. This position will be the sole database developer on this team, focused on the application side. This person will be responsible for tier 2 and tier 3 database support, helping to write new stuff while giving input on what to modify on existing applications as well as give advice on where they can do rewrites. This position will be cross collaborative as well, since they will be working and communicating with the software development team to design new database objects. A lot of this job will also include performance testing, although the amount will vary. The ideal candidate for this position is a well-seasoned database developer that will be able to handle complex projects as well as identify and produce high performing SQL!

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server database development
• Extensive experience with the latest TSQL enhancements as well as ANSI Standard Transact-SQL
• Experience troubleshooting, maintaining and optimizing SQL databases
• Query store and DMV experience
• SSDT experience for automated deploys
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience deploying and maintaining SQL databases in Azure, more specifically in a PaaS or laaS environment
• Experience working with GIT and ADO
• Has worked with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and or SQL Sentry
• Understands how to support and develop SSRS or PowerBI reports
