Job Description

The Assistant Electrical Designer supports the design and execution of Network, Integration & Automation projects as part of a multidisciplinary team. This role contributes to planning, site evaluations, design development, and construction documentation across a diverse portfolio of projects and clients.
- Support electrical design efforts for data center projects, including routing, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and coordination across project teams
- Design and model telecommunications systems, including:
○ Inside and outside plant pathway infrastructure
○ Equipment layouts
○ Structured cabling systems
○ 3D BIM/Revit models
- Set up and maintain telecommunications Revit models at project kickoff
- Develop engineering drawings from sketches, notes, and verbal direction using Revit and CAD tools
- Assist with design calculations, system sizing, and technical problem-solving on complex assignments
- Produce initial designs, sketches, and redline markups with limited oversight
- Apply applicable design codes, standards, and specifications
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to resolve design issues
- Support BIM coordination and ensure model quality, accuracy, and data integrity
- Track and manage drawing revisions and project documentation
- Deliver work within scope, schedule, and budget constraints

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience OR
○ Associate Degree and 3 years of experience OR
○ High School degree and 4 years of experience

- Experience designing in Revit
- Experience with Electrical OR telecommunications design

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- RCDD Certification
