Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Designer to join our dynamic switchgear systems team, where creative problem-solving meets technical precision in a fast paced engineering and manufacturing environment. In this role, you will support the development and execution of electrical build projects by preparing and modifying detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical, including layouts for power distribution, relay panels, lighting, and control systems. You will collaborate closely with engineers and cross functional teams to produce one line and three line diagrams, control schematics, panel schedules, load calculations, equipment layouts, and supporting documentation from early design through production. This position involves coordinating with mechanical, structural, and project teams, reviewing and integrating vendor and shop drawings, incorporating equipment specifications, and ensuring all designs align with company, customer, and quality standards. You will provide technical support during builds and construction, participate in build meetings, manage smaller projects and defined portions of larger programs, and contribute to product development initiatives, Lean activities, and voice of customer discussions. Additionally, you will support engineering change activities by preparing ECO (Engineering Change Order) documentation and BOMs, maintain accurate project documentation, and proactively research missing technical information to ensure complete and accurate deliverables across all project phases. Payrate- $25-25.
