Job Description
This candidate will join a team to cover their own territory in MS. They will be responsible for maintaining fiber networks. They will also go out to customer sites and do router installs and perform general router checks. They also provide maintenance on cell sites every 30-60 days as needed. This role does require some physical labor, so need to be okay with handling cabinet batteries or other large equipment. They will drive their own personal vehicle and record a mileage log to be reimbursed for miles driven. Once brought on perm they will get a company vehicle and cell phone.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of generator and transfer switch operation
• Demonstrate microwave experience (Licensed & Unlicensed)
• Test batteries
• Use digital muti-meter

Required Skills & Experience
• Experience installing Ethernet, VoIP, GPON, OC-n services.
• Experience splicing and installing fiber and copper connectors.
• Experience with test equipment (digital multi-meter, antenna/line sweep gear, spectrum analyzer, etc.) to identify and repair transport backbone and infrastructure electronics.
• Working knowledge of telecom technologies and TCP/IP strategies.
• Experience integrating and repairing cell site network hardware (base stations, microwaves, battery systems, antenna systems, etc.).
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Wireless experience (maintaining networks)
• Proficient with Windows
• Technical Degree or background in Networking or Electronics
• Utilize light meters
