Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Construction Superintendent to join one of their federal contracting clients in Biloxi, MS at the Keesler AFB. The Superintendent will be overseeing the construction operations of the Central Energy Plant (CEP) Roof Access Scope and cooling towers. The CEP Roof Access portion of the project provides permanent and code-compliant access to rooftop mechanical equipment. Work includes installation of engineered ladders, platforms, catwalks, guardrails, and associated structural support systems to provide safe access for operations and maintenance personnel. The improvements are designed to meet applicable OSHA requirements while minimizing impacts to the existing roofing system and ongoing facility operations (same for cooling towers). This is a fully onsite opportunity requiring 5 days a week onsite for 8 hour days.

Day to day responsibilities
•Oversee daily jobsite operations and ensure work progresses per plans and schedule
•Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and field crews
•Develop and manage short-term schedules and daily work plans
•Ensure timely delivery and proper use of materials, tools, and equipment
•Perform regular site inspections to maintain quality standards
•Enforce safety policies and conduct safety meetings and checks
•Maintain daily reports and communicate progress to project management
•Lead on-site meetings and act as primary field point of contact
•Identify and resolve field issues to keep the project on track
•Monitor productivity and support cost control efforts

Required Skills & Experience

-Minimum of 10 years of construction experience
-At least 5+ years experience working on healthcare or medical construction projects within the last 10 years
-Federal construction experience
-Experience coordinating ICRA requirements, Interim life safety measures (ILSM), utility shutdowns, infection control procedures, work in active healthcare environments
-Knowledge of construction drawings, submittal processes, quality control requirements, and safety requirements/coordination of subcontractors

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) or equivalent healthcare construction experience
-CPM (Certified Project Manager) or similar construction management certification
-Prior experience on: DHA facilities, USACE projects, Hospital renovations, Medical treatment facilities, CPR First AID, ASHE , EM 385
