Job Description
- Serve as the Product Owner for a dedicated Agile scrum team (typically 10–14 engineers)
- Collaborate daily with Engineering Managers, Architects, Scrum Masters, and business stakeholders
- Translate business needs into actionable product requirements and priorities
- Refine and manage product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization activities
- Partner with technical teams to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives
- Facilitate communication between business and technology organizations
- Identify dependencies, risks, and blockers while driving solutions forward
- Support one of several key Thrivent domains, including:
--Transactions, Payments, and Banking
--Mutual Funds, Brokerage, and Investment Platforms
--Digital Identity and Access Management
--Enterprise Document Management Solutions
- Act as a collaborative partner to engineering teams, helping deliver business value while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar Agile product delivery experience
- Experience supporting highly technical engineering teams
- Experience partnering closely with Engineering Managers, Architects, and Scrum Teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven ability to gather business requirements, prioritize work, and drive delivery outcomes
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Ability to facilitate collaboration between business and technical teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience leading discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to quickly learn complex business domains and technical landscapes

- Financial Services experience
- Local to Minneapolis
- Banking, payments, transaction processing, or brokerage experience
- Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience
- Digital Identity, authentication, registration, or login platform experience
- API, integration, or enterprise application experience
- Industry experience with exposure to transactional systems
