Job Description
An employer is seeking a Capability Manager to lead the evolution of our end client’s Client Master capability —a foundational asset that enables accurate, scalable, and forward-looking
management of client data across the PBM ecosystem. This role is not focused on maintaining existing processes. It is accountable for anticipating future business needs, identifying capability gaps, and building scalable solutions that improve how we structure, manage, and leverage client data. You will operate with a high
degree of autonomy and are expected to act as a force multiplier, shaping how this capability supports growth, operational efficiency, and client experience.
Responsibilities:
• Shape and support strategy development for forward-looking roadmap
priorities by synthesizing business needs, identifying emerging risks and
opportunities, and translating them into clear, actionable capability investments for
the Client Master domain
• Identify and close capability gaps before they become constraints in support of roadmap priorities, evaluate current-state processes, data models, and governance structures to uncover risks and opportunities early.
• Design scalable, enterprise-grade solutions
Move beyond one-off fixes—build sustainable frameworks for client data standardization, hierarchy management, and lifecycle governance.
• Operate with high autonomy and ownership
Define problems, prioritize work, and execute solutions with minimal direction, aligning to strategic objectives rather than task-based assignments.
• Influence across a complex stakeholder landscape
assignments.
• Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, Client Management, and Data teams
to align on forward-looking capability investments and drive adoption.
• Challenge assumptions and elevate thinking
Bring forward insights—not just issues—by questioning existing approaches and
introducing more effective, future-oriented alternatives.
• Drive measurable impact
assignments.
• Ensure solutions improve data integrity, operational efficiency, scalability, and client
experience in quantifiable ways.
What Success Looks Like
• Capability gaps are identified and addressed before impacting operations or clients
• Client Master evolves into a scalable, trusted source of truth across the PBM
ecosystem
• Solutions reduce manual work, rework, and data inconsistencies
• Stakeholders align around a clear, forward-looking capability strategy
• You are recognized as someone who creates structure in ambiguity and raises the
bar for how the organization approaches capability development
