Job Description
Insight Global is hiring an Industrial Electrician will be responsible for wiring, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems on custom industrial equipment. This includes working from electrical schematics, building to NEC standards, and supporting machine assembly from start to finish.
This role works directly with engineers to identify electrical issues, provide input on design adjustments, and ensure equipment is built correctly before shipment. The position also helps with machine tear-down and preparation for shipping, followed by occasional on-site installation or support at customer facilities. Travel generally occurs once per year for one to two weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wire, test, and troubleshoot industrial motor and control circuitry
- Verify NEC compliance using engineering documentation
- Work with engineering to resolve electrical issues and support design improvements
- Assist in equipment build, test, tear-down, and shipment
- Support customer-site installations and troubleshooting (10% travel)
- Maintain safe, organized work practices
- Perform other assigned tasks

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years industrial manufacturing or industrial equipment electrical experience (no residential)
- Experience wiring, testing, and troubleshooting industrial motor and control circuits
- Ability to read electrical schematics and follow NEC standards
- Strong communication skills; able to work with engineers and customers
- Open to domestic/international travel (~10%)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience building or testing complex industrial machinery
- Experience supporting equipment installs at customer sites
- Familiarity with quality, safety, or process improvement environment
