Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Public Sector Account Executive to join a leading Value‑Added Reseller (VAR) supporting SLED customers across Mississippi. They will be specializing in providing cutting-edge technology solutions to SLED institutions. This individual will be responsible for hunting new business within Mississippi, building their portfolio and market share within the education industry. Additionally, this resource will be set up with pre-existing territory. The position is remote within Mississippi with required face‑to‑face customer engagement to drive and close deals.

Salary: $100K–$125K base plus commission.

Required Skills & Experience

2-5+ years of experience in Public Sector focused sales, selling into State & Local Government, Higher Ed, or K–12

Sales experience at a Value-Added Reseller provider or Enterprise technology company

Knowledge of Cisco’s product line

Knowledge and track record of territory development including new business accounts in local territory- Mississippi

Sold data center, routing/switching, networking, voice/contact center

Physical security space

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Exposure to physical security solutions (e.g., access control, video surveillance) is a strong plus

Background selling into or supporting 911 / emergency communications environments
