Job Description

This Data Scientist supports DTE’s Gas Leak Management team by pulling data from Picarro and other enterprise systems, analyzing leak and spend data, and building Power BI dashboards that drive operational efficiency, regulatory reporting, and capital planning decisions.

Compensation

$40/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science) OR 3+ years of experience in a data analytics, data science, or programming role
• Strong experience performing advanced data analysis, including cost benefit analysis, forecasting, predictive modeling, what if analysis, and impact analysis
• Strong understanding of Power BI data models, data extraction, and dashboard intelligence
• Eager to learn and grow in a data driven environment!!
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely relay findings to field supervisors and business partners

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience collaborating with cross functional stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver end to end analytical solutions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present analytical insights clearly to both technical and non technical audiences
• Strong understanding of Power BI data models, data extraction, and dashboard intelligence
