Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Principal Engineer that will develop power electronics systems for a wide variety of applications from clean sheet through to hardware. This will involve developing requirements, circuit design, component selection and managing the implementation of prototype hardware for traction inverters, DCDC converters, on Board Chargers and other associated systems. The development of the functionality and performance of bespoke designs and new technology will be required in the virtual, HiL and hardware testing environments.

Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law. Annually salary range for this position is $150,000- $175,000 based on previous experience.

Required Skills & Experience

- deep experience with high power electronics systems, preferably over 10 years
- Strong track record in EMC-aware design and noise mitigation, including layout practices, filtering, and grounding
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a closely related discipline with typically 12+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with advanced motor drive control concepts
