Job Description

Overview of Position
This Business Analyst will support the early-stage buildout of Insight Global's Clients' Next Generation AMI program, a long-term strategic initiative within their Digital Operations space.

The team is currently in the discovery and pre-funding phase, focused on identifying quick wins and shaping foundational requirements for a multi-year transformation.

This role is critical in driving requirements clarity across business, operations, and technology, especially given limited SME bandwidth and ongoing audit demands on leadership. The BA will act as a bridge between business and technical teams, helping stand up scalable processes for AMI-related initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Lead requirements gathering across:
○ Business
○ Functional
○ Technical
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to extract requirements and drive alignment
• Interface with cross-functional stakeholders (business, OT, IT, leadership)
• Create and deliver presentations / requirement artifacts
• Translate business needs into technical requirements for engineering teams
• Support early-stage solutioning and process definition
• Engage SMEs to extract critical knowledge efficiently
• Assist in future testing & validation efforts (lab environment for AMI solutions)
• Help define initial program structure, documentation, and workflows

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves
• Utilities experience (Electric preferred)
○ Any exposure to electric distribution
• Proven Business Analyst experience
○ Strong ability to:
§ Elicit requirements with limited SME availability
§ Drive conversations and maximize SME interactions
○ Experience translating:
§ Business → Technical requirements
○ Excellent stakeholder management across multiple teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses
• Exposure to Meter-to-Cash lifecycle
• Experience supporting AMI / smart meter / device-driven ecosystems
Background in electrical engineering or power systems
