Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to support our Trench Safety division. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and delivering tailored equipment and safety solutions to clients across your assigned territory.
This is a dynamic, field-based position ideal for a sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer partnerships in the construction and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
• Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan to grow market share and meet or exceed revenue targets
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and in-person client visits
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, project managers, and other key decision-makers
• Expand existing accounts by identifying additional needs and promoting Sunbelt Rentals’ full range of solutions
Solution Selling & Customer Support
• Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate trench safety and equipment solutions
• Review project plans, blueprints, and technical documents to develop accurate proposals and bid packages
• Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to ensure solutions meet safety and performance standards
• Promote safety training services and ensure customers are aligned with industry and company safety guidelines
Territory & Pipeline Management
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities within CRM
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies
• Manage multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously while ensuring timely follow-up and execution
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with internal teams, including operations, engineering, and accounts receivable, to ensure successful project delivery
• Work collaboratively with other sales representatives to share leads, conduct joint calls, and promote integrated solutions
• Assist with collections and account management to maintain strong customer relationships

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• 2+ years of direct B2B sales experience, preferably in a field-based or territory sales role
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a solution-based sales environment
• Strong ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to interpret basic technical documents such as project plans or specifications
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience within the equipment rental, construction, or industrial industries
• Knowledge of trench safety, shoring systems, or related equipment
• Experience working with engineers, project managers, or construction professionals
