Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support daily production within a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on complex CNC equipment, including 5‑axis mills, mill‑turn machines, and lathes.
The role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control-related issues across CNC systems, PLCs, HMIs, servos, sensors, and machine components such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, ballscrews, and linear rails. The mechanic will respond to equipment downtime, execute scheduled PMs, collaborate with production teams, document repairs, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operation.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience supporting CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
- Experience troubleshooting CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, or similar)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with exposure to hydraulics and pneumatics
- Proven ability to diagnose equipment failures and perform corrective repairs
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic schematics

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience supporting complex CNC assets such as 5‑axis mills, mill‑turns, or lathes
- Exposure to CNC geometry adjustments or machine commissioning (alignment, squareness, servo tuning, etc.)
- Comfortable documenting maintenance work and repairs using CMMS or MS Office tools
