Job Description
A large client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at a closed-door specialty pharmacy. This individual needs to have experience with USP (797) Sterile Compounding, as well as proven management experience including overseeing staff and pharmacy operations. This Individual will oversee Pharmacy Techs and Pharmacists. The pharmacy hours are 8:30am – 5pm.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as Pharmacist‑in‑Charge (PIC), ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulations (Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, HIPAA, URAC, ACHC) while overseeing safe, accurate prescription review, verification, dispensing, and documentation.
- Provide clinical oversight and patient care, including medication therapy review, specialty medication counseling, monitoring for interactions or contraindications, and acting as an escalation point for complex clinical or patient issues.
- Lead and supervise pharmacy operations and staff, including pharmacy technicians and referral/patient support roles.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Intake, Referral, Reimbursement, Nursing, Quality, and Pharmacy Operations teams to ensure seamless referral intake, prescription fulfillment, shipping accuracy, and continuity of patient care.

Required Skills & Experience
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license
- Sterile compounding experience & understanding of USP 797
- Infusion experience
- 2+ years management experience
- Experience working at specialty pharmacy or hospital (no retail pharmacy)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Connecticut License or willing to get it
