Job Description
A healthcare client is seeking an Environment Manager to own the full lifecycle of our non-production environments — development, QA, staging, and performance. This individual contributor role is responsible for ensuring engineering and QA teams have reliable, well-governed environments available when they need them, while controlling sprawl, cost, and configuration drift. The Environment Manager serves as the central point of coordination between development, QA, DevOps, release management, and infrastructure teams.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in environment management, release engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure operations.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-tier non-production environments in a cloud-hosted (AWS, Azure, or GCP) setting.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar) and how environments integrate into the delivery workflow.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, and database refresh procedures.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills — comfortable coordinating across 5+ engineering teams simultaneously.
• Experience with ITSM or ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, or similar) for tracking environment requests.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience in healthcare technology or organizations subject to HIPAA/HITRUST compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with HealthEdge products (GuidingCare, Source, Wellframe) or healthcare payer/provider platforms.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS) and microservices architectures.
• Exposure to test data management, data masking, or synthetic data generation tools.
• Background in performance/load testing environments and tooling (JMeter, Gatling, Locust).
• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, ITIL Foundation, or similar.
