Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Principal Data Scientist for one of our logistics clients. As the Principal Data Scientist, you will report directly to the Manager and Director of AI to support the client in growing their organization through advanced analytics and will build and lead a high-performing AI team. Our client is looking for someone who has a depth of experience in GenAI, Machine learning, and previous pricing experience (particularly with dynamic pricing). This induvial needs to have strong experience with developing AI models, data science models, and advanced analytics. This full-time role will sit 3x onsite in Boston, MA.

Required Skills & Experience

MUST HAVE:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
5 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying optimization solutions
Experience in pricing optimization, demand forecasting, utilizing statistical modeling, machine learning, and reinforcement learning techniques.
Strong experience with SQL, Python and Java
o Preferably with NAND AI, Pandas, or Gurobi
Experience using statistical modeling to solve business problems
A deep understanding of machine learning techniques and experience applying them to solve business problems.
Track record in leading cross-functional initiatives that span across the organization.
Ability to translate complex data sets and research into simple business recommendations.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Masters degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field Strong leadership and communication skills
7+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying optimization solutions
Experience in pricing optimization, demand forecasting, utilizing statistical modeling, machine learning, and reinforcement learning techniques.
Experience with causal inference and measurement methods for analyzing the impact of pricing algorithms on revenue
Experience with reinforcement learning for pricing optimization, decision-making, and consumer behavior modeling
Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team
Significant peer-reviewed scientific contributions in premier journals and conferences
Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to convey rigorous mathematical concepts and considerations to non-experts
