A leading Aerospace and Defense client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Engineering Applications Analyst to join. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing access and accounts for over 140+ various engineering applications, troubleshooting installation and license issues, and interfacing with vendors to resolve problems. Additionally, this role involves managing a helpdesk using Jira, triaging tickets, communicating with users to define their issues, and prioritizing tasks effectively. This role operates on a 9/80 and is fully onsite in the clients Hunt Valley, MD facility.

5+ years of proven experience in Enterprise Engineering Tool administration, debugging and solving client and server-side application issues, software installation, configuration, etc.
Proficiency in administrating Jira or similar ticketing systems for helpdesk management and project administration
Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and software installation processes.
Experience with specific engineering applications (e.g., mechanical CAD software, CAD software, software development tool set, simulation tools, etc.).
Understanding of network fundamentals; switching, routing, etc.
Knowledge of VMware vCenter or similar tool: Capable of performing routine tasks including monitoring, creating and migrating virtual machines, managing snapshots, and conducting basic troubleshooting within the vCenter environment.
Basic understanding of Linux servers: Ability to navigate the file system, execute basic commands, and perform routine tasks such as checking system logs, managing user permissions, writing simple Bash scripts, using SSH for remote access, and configuring Samba for file sharing.
Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Network Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
