Job Description

A large company that specializes in industrial automation is seeking a Project Engineer to serve as the face of their engineering team to one of their largest end users. This person will be the technical coordinator between engineering teams, manufacturing, software, integrators, and the customer. This role is responsible for translating customer needs into actionable engineering requirements, coordinating technical execution across pilot projects and scaled deployments, and ensuring designs are production-ready, repeatable, and aligned with change-control standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial machinery and excels in customer-facing technical environments.

Compensation:

$90,000 to $100,000 per year annual salary (+ bonuses).

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical is highly preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Experience with industrial machinery or equipment that is physically designed, built, and deployed (conveyor systems clearly preferred)
- Working knowledge of fundamental industrial machine design concepts
- Customer facing experience with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Prior experience in material handling, conveyor systems, or automated equipment
- Experience with PLM systems (Windchill strongly preferred, others acceptable)
- CAD software (AutoDesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar)
