Day to day:
Insight Global is seeking 2 Medical Assistants to support a local healthcare system perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to help provide care to patients, support, providers, and keep office operations running smoothly in the cardiology department.
Essential Job Duties:
• Perform EKGs, administer injections, assist with phlebotomy, and support providers during exams
• Take and document vital signs, triage patients, and prepare them for visits
• Assist with patient flow and overall clinic efficiency
• Handle patient registration, scheduling, and front office support
• Maintain exam room readiness and inventory of clinical supplies
• Complete referrals, lab requests, and documentation in compliance with QA/QC standards
• Ensure accurate and timely EHR documentation
• Verify insurance eligibility (e.g., Medicaid EVS) and identify need for authorizations
• Manage inbound calls, patient communication, and uphold HIPAA standards
Support overall patient experience through professional and empathetic interactions

Required Skills & Experience
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience
• Experience doing EKG's
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification is required.
Must be a non-smoker (including nicotine) and be willing to get the flu shot
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• CMA, RMA or AAMA (through an approved/accredited organization)
• Epic experience
