Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an EIT to join our team. The EIT will be responsible for providing expertise in interpretation of relevant local requirements and international codes/standards, such as API, ACI, AISC, EN, PIP standards. The EIT will work on the design team using analysis software and AutoCAD, and will work on construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit. The EIT will also perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for commercial applications, and assist with activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Provide expertise in interpretation of relevant local requirements and international codes/standards, such as API, ACI, AISC, EN, PIP standards.
* Work on the design team using analysis software and AutoCAD.
* Work on construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
* Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for commercial applications.
* Assist with activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Science, Design, Graduate, Foundations, Supervision, Drafting, Technical, Continuing Education.
* Registration as an Engineer-in-training (EIT).
* Strong interpersonal, speaking and writing skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* No prior experience in steel fabrication is required as long as the candidate has their EIT certification.
* Pay is negotiable for a candidate who has 2 or more years of design work in a professional setting.
