Job Description
A large insurance company in Louisville, Kentucky is looking to add a Cloud Engineer III to join the organization and work alongside one other Cloud Engineer. Although this team is only made up of two Cloud Engineers, this individual should expect to spend about 50% of their day working cross functionally in an agile environment sitting in on meetings while also having a leadership mindset to work with a wide variety of people within the organization as well as stakeholders. This organization is currently in a lift and shift project migrating from main frame to a cloud environment. This person will play a major role in participating in the design, implementation, and management of cloud-based workloads as they will assist in off- boarding PWC. This person needs to come in with general knowledge that will help this team migrate their hardware and applications to a cloud environment- automation skills will be key for this role. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in AWS cloud services, familiar with cloud adoption frameworks, and holding some sort of project lead experience. This team is looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running with a collaboration and mentorship mindset as well as exceptional communication skills.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS services
• Experience with on-premises to cloud migration projects
• Experience with cloud security, automation, and monitoring tools
Ability to write and maintain scripts using languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• AWS certification
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC
• Devops environment experience
• Project management/lead
• Familiarity with Agile methodology
