Job Description

A large automotive manufacturing client is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team at their facility located in Hopkinsville, KY. As a Process Engineer, you will support production and maintenance teams by troubleshooting manufacturing issues related to quality, safety, and productivity while driving continuous improvement across the production process. The engineering team supports PLC and HMI logic work, develops and maintains extensive CAD drawings, and prepares all core manufacturing documentation in house, including PBOMs, PCS, process flows, PFMEAs, and fixture control documentation. This role focuses on evaluating and improving manufacturing performance through cost reduction initiatives, process optimization, and the integration of new technologies. You will be expected to lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and support the introduction of new products and engineering changes into mass production. Additional responsibilities include establishing and maintaining Process Control Plans, designing and refining manufacturing processes, developing specifications for equipment, tooling, and jigs, and supporting machine modifications or new line installations. Lastly, you will coordinate equipment projects, work with external suppliers and contractors, and provide technical justification for capital investments that improve quality, safety, and productivity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering from ABET accredited program
• 1-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
• Experience using AutoCAD
• Technical programming experience (HMI’s, PLC’s, robotics)
• Experience leading projects and cross functional teams (CFTs)
• Proven development of processes, product, and equipment from concept to implementation
• MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, & Access)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in successful development of multiple new product launches
• Work experience in manufacturing operations (Automation, Automated vision inspection)
