Job Description
A leading energy client of Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Kansas City, Houston or Greenville. We are looking for an engineer who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about delivering high-quality work. This role will support electrical engineering efforts on EPC projects, working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to contribute to successful project execution.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support electrical engineering design efforts under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist with routine electrical engineering tasks using established standards and tools.
- Prepare and update technical deliverables such as load lists, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and basic calculations.
- Assist in developing schematics, equipment specifications, data sheets, and requisitions.
- Support power system studies and other analyses with direction from senior engineers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support RFIs, design reviews, and project documentation.
- Review vendor documents to ensure alignment with project specifications and requirements.
- Assist with equipment procurement activities, including reviewing technical submittals.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering documents through self-checking and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain awareness of industry standards, codes, and evolving technologies.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to work quality and efficiency.
- Perform work efficiently while meeting project timelines and deliverables.
Build technical competency and familiarity with project processes and standards.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Experience with circuit routing, one-lines, three-lines & ETAP
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Engineer in Training
- Experience in fossil fuels OR power generation
