Job Description

A client of Insight Global in the Kansas City area is seeking experienced Engineering Technicians or CMT Technicians to add to their growing team. This person will be traveling to job sites across the KC metro testing construction materials. On a day to day, this person will be driving to job sites, reading plans, testing materials, and writing reports for each job site. This role is ideal for a seasoned field technician who is confident working independently on active job sites, performing advanced testing and inspections, and serving as a technical resource for junior staff. The Senior CMT Technician will play a key role in ensuring construction quality, safety, and compliance across a variety of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in construction materials testing including field testing and inspection
ACI and/or ICC certifications
Clean driving record, ability to travel to job sites daily
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform field work in all weather conditions

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Associates or Bachelors on engineering or related field of study
Additional certifications
Nuclear Density Gauge certification
CWI
Steel, Masonry, post-tension, etc.
Experience training or mentoring junior CMTs
