Who We Are
At Insight Global, we look for motivated, driven individuals who are passionate about solving complex problems and building impactful solutions at scale. Our teams support large, enterprise organizations in tackling real-world challenges through data, technology, and innovation. Our best performers combine strong technical expertise with ownership and a desire to drive meaningful outcomes. In this role, you will go beyond model development—partnering with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy production-ready machine learning solutions that directly impact large-scale systems. You will have the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives within a globally recognized retail enterprise, focused on optimizing supply chain, transportation, and delivery operations. We are not just solving technical problems—we are enabling smarter, data-driven decision-making at scale. At Insight Global, we are committed to your growth. You will gain exposure to modern technologies, global teams, and complex use cases while continuing to develop your technical and professional skill set.

About the Role
Insight Global is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to support a large-scale, enterprise retail organization as part of a growing global data and analytics team. This role will focus on building and deploying transportation and delivery optimization models within a cloud-native GCP environment. You will work across the full ML lifecycle—from data discovery through production deployment—helping translate business challenges into scalable machine learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead data discovery and exploration efforts for transportation and delivery modeling initiatives
• Develop a deep understanding of business processes and operational workflows
• Design and implement end-to-end, production-grade machine learning pipelines, including:
o Data ingestion and transformation
o Feature engineering and selection
o Experiment design and model development
o Model training, testing, and evaluation
• Translate exploratory work and prototype models into scalable, automated pipelines (not notebook-only solutions)
• Build and optimize models (primarily using XGBoost) for logistics and transportation use cases
• Develop scalable data pipelines using Dataform and BigQuery
• Deploy, orchestrate, and manage ML workflows using Kubeflow
• Deploy and monitor models using Google Vertex AI
• Ensure solutions are production-ready, reliable, and maintainable, including monitoring, versioning, and retraining strategies

Who We Hire
• Technical Excellence & Problem Solving: We are focused on hiring strong engineers who can translate complex business problems into scalable technical solutions. We look for individuals with a deep understanding of machine learning, data pipelines, and production systems, who can build reliable, end-to-end solutions—not just experimental models.
• Ownership & Execution: This role requires individuals who take ownership of their work from initial exploration through production deployment. We value engineers who can operate independently, drive projects forward, and deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Curiosity & Continuous Learning: The best candidates are those who are naturally curious and eager to learn. Whether it’s exploring new ML techniques, improving pipeline efficiency, or adopting new tools within the GCP ecosystem, a growth mindset is critical to success.
• Team: Together, anything is possible. IG employees must want to be part of a team and work well with others. Every success story has a team of people behind it.
• Culture: Of everything, our culture is most important, and our Shared Values define us: Everyone Matters, We Take Care of Each Other, Leadership is Here to Serve, High Character & Hard Work Above All Else & Always Know Where You Stand. Our employees (and those we seek to hire) embody and live out these Shared Values.

Benefits & Perks
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include comprehensive health insurance coverage, along with applicable statutory benefits such as provident fund (PF) and gratuity where required. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid time off, company holidays, and parental leave, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Additional benefits may include performance-based incentives, learning and development support, and participation in employee engagement programs.

Why Join Us
• Opportunity to support a globally recognized retail enterprise with complex, high-impact data challenges
• Work on real-world supply chain and logistics optimization problems at scale
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across data, engineering, and business domains
• Be part of Insight Global’s growing Global Delivery Center in India, with exposure to international clients and cutting-edge technology
