Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with expertise in both manual and automated testing of web applications, web content, mobile, and performance testing to support the Digital Platform Team’s portfolio. The ideal candidate will be located in Halifax and will to go on site 2 days a week with potential increases. They will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and executing automation scripts for Digital Channels projects while also contributing strongly on the manual testing side across end-to-end workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of manual testing experience and 5+ year of automation experience.
Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing on web and mobile applications (manual test)
Programming experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting
Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright (with MCP), or Appium).
Working knowledge of qTest
Strong knowledge of software testing lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Experience in SQL queries for data validation.
Familiarity with version control tools (GitHub).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Hands on experience with JIRA

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with mobile automation testing (Android & iOS)
Exposure to accessibility testing across public facing digital platforms
Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
Experience working in enterprise environments supporting web, content, and mobile applications
Conduct API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or SOAP UI
Perform load and performance testing using JMeter
