Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a senior level takeoff support analyst to support the material cost production efforts for a large retail company's most valuable customer segment. Pro Takeoffs team has been asked by sales leadership to fully quote every job material list (aka takeoff) before completing the order and returning to the requesting associate. Up until now, ISSRs have been responsible to create quotes from the material lists provided by the Pro Takeoffs team.
The contractor will be tasked with owning on small to medium subsets of larger initiatives that involve conducting research, using independent judgement, identifying potential opportunities for growth, providing and analyzing quality data, test, learn and refine recommendations and effectively communicate and present within expectations of project timelines. A high level of analytical ability is required to distinguish multiple components of a problem and develop conclusions using quantitative skills with the ability to effectively communicate project or initiative findings. This assignment will work in a cross-functional environment supporting respective workstreams and leadership to meet business priorities.
• The scope of work for this role is straightforward: Converting job material lists from our takeoff provider to full quotes
• Deliverables or goals for the first 30–60 days: Launch full quoting support in at least one outside sales market within 30 days of onboarding

Day to Day:
• Business Acumen - Subject matter expert for assigned initiative; Learn and report on best practices, industry standards, and requirements associated with assigned projects; Through independent judgement, develop solutions and recommend project or strategy planning and data utilization
• Data Analysis - Identify, research and measure ongoing effectiveness of programs against metric targets; Develop and execute ongoing enhancement/optimization strategy based on measured performance and customer feedback; Trouble shoot and problem solve for ongoing operational needs as they arise
• Project Management - Contractor will own small to medium initiative-specific projects and reporting, prioritizing projects and tasks to ensure deliverables and goals are met or exceeded

• OrderUp (building quotes)
Pay rate for this role is estimated to be between 45-55/hr. and determined during the interview process due to the hiring manager's evaluation of fit for the position, years of experience, etc.

Required Skills & Experience

Blueprint Interpretation & Analysis: Advanced ability to read, analyze, and cross-reference complex architectural and structural drawings to accurately determine project scope and requirements
• Estimating Proficiency: High-level technical proficiency with industry-standard estimation best practices, with direct experience with estimation/takeoff software platforms preferred (e.g., Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar tools)
• Applied Construction Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methodologies, building assemblies, material specifications, and industry classification systems to ensure all components are correctly identified, categorized, and quoted
• Risk Mitigation & Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to independently identify discrepancies or missing information in plans, adjust material waste factors, and draft necessary RFIs (Requests for Information) to ensure complete quote accuracy
