Job Description
Insight Global is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join a team of six at a leading energy company located in Cypress, TX. The mechanical assembler will work in a manufacturing environment, utilizing hand tools to assemble or disassemble skid packages comprised of all mechanical rotating equipment - gear boxes, electrical motor generators, compressors and turbines, along with related sub-assemblies and parts. Candidates must be proficient in using precision tools such as ID/OD mics and calipers up to 36 inches for component inspection. Responsibilities include completing package assemblies, leveling under bases for major component installation, and performing laser alignment. Proficiency with hand tools, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and the ability to follow engineering P&ID drawings are essential.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in Assembly of Rotating Equipment in a manufacturing environment
High School Diploma or GED (OR 10 years of relevant Gas Turbine and Compressor experience).
Ability to use micrometers, indicators, hand tools, air grinders, and overhead lifting devices
Experience performing alignments, parts installation, measurements, and machining adjustments to meet required tolerances (±0.001?)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Electric Motor Drives experience
Experience with T61 - Compressor
